One of the most anticipated Laneways in recent years, the 2025 edition sold out in most cities. There was feverish excitement after the lineup dropped, with everyone keen to see artists like Charli XCX, Clairo and Bicep. It’s an eclectic mix that requires wearing something unique and cool. (There are few experiences as horrifying as walking into a festival and then running into countless people wearing the same item as you. Sure, it’s one thing to have the same Salomons as 20 other people, but do you really need to be confronted with sameness when you’re there to enjoy yourself? No!)

Given the most interesting designers are all found at The Galeries, it’s the only place you need to visit to find the ideal outfit. In this essential shopping edit, we’ve curated a list of our favourite new season pieces perfect for Laneway.

Tina Leotard in Blue, $240 from Blanca

Comfy and undeniably cool, this long-sleeve lace bodysuit is made for a festival. Wear it with the coordinating skirt for a more high-femme look, or with jeans for something more laidback.

Gimaguas Blanca Mini Skirt, $630 from Incu

We’re actually pretty sure Charli XCX wore this skirt. If not, it was something very similar. Very brat. Perfect with ballet flats or sneakers and a cute tank.

Vivid Unitard, $139 from P.E. Nation

Festivals like Laneway are long and hot and mostly uncomfortable. Why make things harder for yourself with an outfit that works against you? This year, just wear a unitard like this cool one from P.E. Nation with some sneakers and you’ll be set all day.

740 Sneakers, $170 from New Balance

One of the most iconic New Balance styles reimagined for a new era, the 740 blends original running design influences with modern accents like the two-tone colour mesh. It’s a unique sneaker that you won’t see on everyone else at Laneway.

Gaby Sunglasses, $170 from Oscar Wylee

Look, you can’t go to a festival without a pair of sunglasses. They're non-negotiable. This simple but stylish cat-eye style from Oscar Wylee will protect your gaze and your dignity.
