Bucket bags have historically been simple, small pouches secured by a drawstring. Nothing exciting, usually a purely practical choice. But across the S/S 25 runways, designers have taken the beloved style and started remixing it into something entirely new. Chanel presented a version in their trademark quilted design with the CC logo on each side, Gabriela Hearst sent a crocheted version down the runway complete with gold chains that would double as chic bangles. Meanwhile at Zimmermann, you had a cute leather brown iteration and at Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière designed an oversized bucket bag in the iconic LV Damier print. Make no mistake, the bucket bag is going to be everywhere in 2025.

It’s welcome news given many of the bucket bags on the market are nicely sized, making them perfect to carry you from the office to dinner in style (most will probably fit your laptop). Better still, you can already shop a lot of excellent bucket bags at the Galeries. Here, we’ve curated a list of our favourites to keep you ahead of the trend.
